You are wrong. You are wrong. Even if you think you are right, you are just lying to yourself.
A message to those who still try and claim mRNAs (or forcing them) was a good idea.
This week Jordan Peterson held an important debate with left-wing commentator Steven Bonnell (also known as Destiny). They covered a variety of topics but they touched on their differing view of the COVID vaccines.
The whole interview can be found here. One of the many clips of their vaccine debate can be found here.
Watching this debate, I was just so frustrated to hear that educated and mostly intelligent political analysts still trying to argue the absurdity that forcing mRNAs was a good idea. Peterson actually took the COVID vaccines but has since said he disagreed with them being forced and his overall view is that the experiment was a mistake.
Now, some that agree with Destiny might discount my assertion that he is wrong by saying I am obviously bias. But I know he is wrong. And I know he even knows he’s wrong. Everyone knows they are wrong. How am I so sure?
Well let’s assume Destiny thought he was correct that the mRNA was a amazing technology that was so beneficial for everyone. Let’s assume that he really has no internal regrets about taking the shots. Let’s say he believes the product was so good it was reasonable to force it on everyone (while holding their job or place in society in the balance).
Let’s assume a lot of Canada still preach these messages. Assuming all these people agreed with the public health recommendations, they certainly would have not stopped at the original two shots. The public health consensus is very clear. The first two shots convey no immunity since Omicron. That is why they all recommended that EVERY adult take the newest formulation of mRNA shots last Fall, the XBB.1.5 booster.
So, naturally millions of people that still believe that the mRNAs were a godsend and worthy of force would have lined up. Naturally, anyone who believed that opposing public health recommendations was selfish and deserving of humiliation would never attempt to defy public health themselves… Would they?
Well let’s look at the data. According to Health Canada, approximately 5% of adults under 40 chose to take the XBB.1.5 booster (4.2% of 18-29 year olds and 7.6% of 30-39 year olds).
These people have had at least 6 months now to get this shot which is offered at almost every pharmacy.
Across all age groups only 16.3% of Canadians chose to take an XBB.1.5 shot (only 11% of Ontarians). Comparatively 43% of adults in Canada chose to take a seasonal flu shot last year. So at least a quarter of the country went out of their way to get a flu shot but declined to get their COVID shot in the process (the experts were highly pushing for people to take them at the same time).
That is why they are wrong. And they know it… How can you say that the mRNAs were so great and it was justified to force them? How can you say that anyone who defied public health recommendations deserved what they got? And then decline to take that same shot and allow yourself to decline the very same public health recommendations?
If you think it was okay for a nurse to lose her job (and millions of others) because they chose not to take an mRNA that was recommended, why is it okay for you to decline it?
The next time you hear someone try to make these stupid arguments, show them the data and put them on the spot. Ask them: Have you taken the latest XBB.1.5? Have you given it to your kids? Why the hell not?

Covid vaccine is not effective as they claimed and it is mostly a sham! I was forced to take it as I need my job to support my family, I'm glad my two kids did not take Amy!
