This Canada Day Thank a Freedom Protester

Even though we have multiple times more people hospitalized with COVID than the last two summers we have no restrictions.

If you are gathering today or celebrating Canada Day, thank a trucker or a freedom protester. They are the reason we get to celebrate today.

Let’s look at the last 3 Canada Days:

July 1, 2020

New COVID cases = 222

COVID Hospitalizations = 799

CANADA DAY cancelled, and all gatherings are ILLEGAL. Police arrest those who gather. Even on their own private property.

July 1, 2021

New COVID cases = 550

COVID Hospitalizations = 935

CANADA DAY cancelled, and all gatherings are ILLEGAL. Police arrest those who gather. Even on their own private property.

July 1, 2022

New COVID cases = 6,163

COVID Hospitalizations = 1,676

We get to celebrate CANADA DAY, and all gatherings are LEGAL.

Even though we have multiple times more people hospitalized with COVID than the last two summers and even though we have multiple times more COVID cases than the last two summers, we have no restrictions on our freedom to gather today.

Lockdowns and restrictions on our rights didn’t work. If they did, we would have seen them imposed this year. It took peaceful protesters to tell the government that we had enough.

If you hate the freedom protesters or if you think lockdowns and gathering restrictions were justified/worked, then please stay home today. Because if we needed restriction with 550 daily cases, how can we be open with over 6,000? If we couldn’t let people have freedoms with 900 COVID related hospitalizations, how did we suddenly get back our freedoms with almost double a year later.
